Some words to Tom Friedman:
Tom, as European I never do any US bashing. The European bad manners in doing so often corresponds to their own weakness to devlop muscles of foreign policy. They need to practice more global resonsilies and power.
On the other side, even progressive thinkers like Jim Garrison, author of America AS Empire: Global Leader Or Rogue Power?
and co-founder of State of the World Forum, is intonating a subtle US Glory which has no basis in recent history.
The American Dream is great. No doubt. But, US Friends, you are simply NOT the navel of the world. A global world order is emrging and not even the other Americas of Latin America are subscribed to THIS form of dreaming.
